Delicate tone on tone stamped card

Today’s offering is a wonderfully delicate card, suitable for Mother’s Day or any other female occasion.

On a piece of Purple Posy cardstock, I stamped the large floral swag from the Birthday Jubilee stamp set in Highland Heather ink and used a diagonal direction for the stamping. I cut this to 3 5/8″ x 5 3/8″, so a gap of 1/4″ would be left around the edge of the completed card.

The sentiment is from the Floral Essence stamp set which was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White in Versamark and heat embossed in Stampin’ Silver Embossing Powder. I cut it into a diamond (square) shape. I wanted some colour behind this to make it pop, but I didn’t have any Highland Heather cardstock, so I used a piece of Whisper White and inked it in Highland Heather to complement the stamping. I mounted the sentiment on this, adhered the stamped floral image onto a Whisper White card base using an A4 sheet cut in half and scored in half. The sentiment panel and backing was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
