Mother’s Day Cards in Tropical Oasis

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog today.

Today I thought I would share the Mother’s Day cards that I will be sending this year.  Neither my Mum or Mum-in-Law will see these on my blog so no problem!  To start with I created the flowers using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set.  I used Whisper White cardstock and used Versamark ink to stamp the flowers then covered them using Stampin’ Clear Emboss Powder.  I heat set them, then sponged Daffodil Delight ink over the top (wiping any excess ink away afterwards).  I punched them out using the Small Blooms punch.  I also punched a plain unstamped image, roughly sponged in Daffodil Delight ink.

On Daffodil Delight cardstock I stamped the large leafy image from the same stamp set, again, in Versamark, immediately followed by Garden Green ink over the top (I used a stamping platform for accuracy). I covered the image in Stampin’ Clear Emboss Powder and heat set this.  I cut the Daffodil Delight cardstock to measure approximately 115/16” x 5¼” and punched each end using the Tag Topper punch.

I stuck the flowers onto the punched leafy image, placing the plain unstamped image to the rear of the centre flower, the top and bottom flowers covered the Tag Top punch holes perfectly.  I pulled the edges of the flowers up very slightly to give some dimension.

I used Tropical Oasis DSP cut to 35/8” x 53/8” and stuck it to a Whisper White card base which was cut in half from an A4 sheet and scored in half.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, which has a wonderful choice of small sentiments should an alternative be required.  It was stamped in Garden Green ink onto Whisper White cardstock then die cut into an oval using the second smallest size from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals underneath the oval to raise this up slightly.

The card was adhered together as shown and job done. I like these a lot and I hope the recipients do too!

Some of the items were free from Sale-A-Bration with either a £45 (€60) or £90 (€120) spend – see below or click the link in my shop on the side bar on the left hand side.

Thank you for viewing my project today.  If you wish to order any of the items used to create these cards, make a note of the item number and use the Shop Now tab, not forgetting to use the current Hostess Code located on the right hand side bar, if your order is under £150.

See you next time,

  Angela.
