Just for You Card featuring Parisian Blossoms with Coastal Cabana

Welcome to my blog and thank you so much for your visit. Take time to look around and see if any of my projects inspire you!

Some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020.

See below for the specific products included.

Love this Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper! Such a shame it won’t be around for much longer.  I have paired it with Coastal Cabana, which is a colour I haven’t used until today. The card base was a sheet of A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut in half on the long side, then one of the pieces was scored in half also on the long side.  The Coastal Cabana cardstock was cut to 3¾” x 5½” and the DSP cut to 2¾” x 5½”.  The two layers were adhered together.  The sentiment is from the Vibrant Vases stamp set, stamped in Versamark onto Whisper White cardstock, covered in silver embossing powder, the excess shaken off and set with a heat gun.  It was then cut out using the second smallest oval from the Stitched Shape Dies.  Then I cut a length of ribbon around 6” long, attaching it to the the rear of the sentiment oval.  I placed a little Tear and Tape on the back to hold it in place and adhered it to the centre of the Coastal Cabana/DSP layer.  The ribbon was then attached to the rear before being adhered to the card base.  Nice and quick but very effective.

Thank you for viewing my project today.  If you wish to place an order, make a note of the item numbers and use the ‘Shop Now’ tab above, available 24/7, not forgetting to use the current  Hostess Code  which is NJX47PFZ  if your order is under £150.  Every customer will receive a thank you gift from me, sent separately from your Stampin’ Up order but please  don’t  select the No Contact option at the check out, as I won’t be able to send you your gift the following month.  Besides this you may also receive a few emails from me about your order.  If your order is over £150 you get to choose your own rewards.

Doily Notecard in Rococo Rose

Welcome to my blog and thank you so much for your visit. Take time to look around and see if any of my projects inspire you!

I have another notecard today, with very few supplies required for this one!  The card base was made from a piece of A4 Whisper White Thick cardstock cut to 4” x 8” and scored in half on the long side, then I adhered to this a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock cut to 3¾” x 3¾”.  I cut the doily in half which is from a pack of Mini Coloured Doilies but I have used the rear of one for the white side.  The Designer Series Paper is from the 2019-2021 In Colours, with the strips being cut to 7/8” x 3¾” for the narrow strip and 15/8”x 3¾” for the wider strip.  I attached both strips together and flipped them and the doily over and arranged on the back, securing with a piece of tape.  This section was then adhered to the card base.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set using Rococo Rose ink onto Whisper White cardstock, cut using the smallest oval from the Stitched Shape Dies.  I then cut another oval using the next size up in Whisper White cardstock and attached this behind the smaller oval with the sentiment.

Many Thanks Notecard

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

Some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020.

See below for the specific products included.

A dinky little easy notecard today!  I know a lot of people are making thank you cards at the moment to give to those who are doing their best to keep things running in our current situation.  Here is one that can be produced in a hurry.

I created the card base from an A4 sheet of Thick Whisper White Cardstock measuring 4 1/8” x 8¼”, then scored it in half.  A piece of Poppy Parade cardstock was cut to 37/8” x 3 7/8”.  In the bottom right hand corner I stamped ‘many thanks’ from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then rotated the paper clockwise and stamped the sentiment again.  Next I stamped the top left hand corner with the sentiment, then rotated the cardstock anti-clockwise to stamp the remaining corner. I did it this way to avoid an upside-down sentiment at the top!  The Poppy Parade mat was then adhered to the card base.  The leafy surround was cut out from the Shimmer Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper, then the centre image was punched out with a 2” Circle Punch using the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper, strategically placed over the flowers.  I wanted the flower image to sit behind the surround so I attached a few pieces of low tack tape across the aperture of the surround and arranged the circle behind.   I wanted the circle to stay put until it was glued in place.  I adhered just enough glue to attach the surround and centre to the card, then attached it to the notecard.  The tape was removed and card complete!

Budding Borders Leaf Sprigs and Flower Faceted Gems

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

Some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020

See below for the specific products included.

Today I have a fresh looking card with a nice spring feel to it using Terracotta Tile with a splash of Garden Green.  To start with I made the card base from a sheet of A4 Whisper White Thick Cardstock, cutting in half on the long side, then scoring a piece in half.  I then cut a piece of 2019-2021 In Colour Designer Series Paper down to 5½” x 3¾” and adhered this to the card base.  Next I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5” x 3¼” and placed it onto my stamping platform.  Using both leaf sprigs from the Budding Borders stamp set, I arranged them on a corner of the cardstock.  I stamped them in Garden Green ink, rotating each time to complete the stamping in all four corners, then also adhered this to the card base.   Using an off-cut from the DSP, I trimmed a piece to measure 3” x ¾” and cut the short edges into a banner.  Onto the sentiment, from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using the smallest oval from the Stitched Shape Dies.  For the backing, I used a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock and cut it out using the second smallest oval from the same set of Dies.  I adhered them together, including the banner and attached this to the card.  To finish off, I used four Flower Faceted Gems in Terracotta Tile, attaching on in each corner joining the two leaf sprigs.

‘Celebrate every tiny victory’ in Rococo Rose

Some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020.

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

See below for the specific products included which I have used in this project.

A nice cheery card today – a card base measuring 5½” x 5½” made from an A4 piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, then a layer of Rococo Rose cardstock measuring 5” x 5”.  Next layer – the Designer Series Paper is from the 2019-2021 In Colours – I chose the Rococo Rose papers which include four differing patterns on two separate sheets and cut them both into triangles.  I used one triangle of each pattern and secured them together with a little tape on the back.  Then I used the Braided Border Punch with Whisper White cardstock.  You will see from the second photograph that I cut the strips where they would intersect in the centre to eliminate excess bulk underneath. I adhered them to the DSP layer at this point then cut it down to measure 4¾” x 4¾”.  The layer was then attached to the Rococo Rose cardstock then to the card base.  The sentiment was from the Vibrant Vases stamp set, stamped in Rococo Rose ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then cut using the second largest square die from the Stitched Shape Dies, rotated into a diamond orientation.  The backing was cut using the largest die in the same set from Rococo Rose cardstock.  I left this in a square orientation, then adhered them together and then onto the card.

Tropical Oasis with Budding Borders

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

Some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020

See below for the specific products included in this project.

Today I have used the Budding Borders stamp set along with Tropical Oasis DSP to create a thank you card.  I placed the border stamp on my platform and stamped in Pretty Peacock ink, rotated the Whisper White cardstock 180oand stamped again. The strips of DSP were cut, measuring 1” for the centre and two at ¾” for the top and bottom and attached as shown.  The sentiment was from the Vibrant Vases stamp set which reads “Thanks for your understanding”.  I cut off the latter portion below the stamp to just read “Thanks” and cut the strip into a banner at each end.  A piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock was adhered to the rear the card assembled as shown onto a card base made from A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock.

A4 sized Nautical Card

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

Some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020.

See below for the specific items used.

Another nautical themed card today!  I have seen this style of card created a lot recently and wanted to try one for myself.  I made this from a piece of Whisper White A4 Thick cardstock.  On the long side, I scored at 3” and 43/8”, then I rotated the card 180oand scored at 3” and 43/8” again on the opposite end.  On the 3” score lines create a valley fold, on the 43/8” score lines, create a mountain fold.  I used Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and I had a piece left over from yesterday’s card measuring 41/8” square with an aperture in the centre (where the yacht was cut from).  For the centre of this I cut a piece out from the compass design using the largest square from the Stitched Shape Dies.  I added a piece of tape on the back to join the knotted rope square and the compass, then reinforced this section with a piece of Whisper White on the back.  I measured accordingly and attached Stampin’ Dimensionals ready to add to the card for assembly later.  The background panel measurements are as follows:-

Centre:  8” x 2¾” – 1 piece

Side recess:  8” x 11/8” – 2 pieces

Front facing sides:  8” x 2¾” – 2 pieces

Layering on front facing sides:  4” x 25/8” – 2 pieces

After adhering the panels, I added the compass image with the knotted rope frame to the front.  The sentiment was then added and is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. This was cut using the second smallest oval from the Stitched Shape Dies with two Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back placed towards the top of the oval.

If your order is over £150 you get to choose your own rewards.

Braided Border Nautical Card

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

It’s that time – The Retiring List is now live – some of the products I have used are available as Last Chance Products – While Supplies last or until 2ndJune 2020.

See below for the specific items used.

I love the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper – brilliant for male cards (not unusable for female cards either).  To start this card, I cut a square of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4¾” square.  Using the Braided Border Punch, I eyeballed the centre of the square and punched once on each side.  Then I cut a 3/16” sliver off each side, reducing the size of the square corners.  I had already chosen the background DSP, the knotted rope design as shown, but did not have an appropriate colour ink to go with it for the next bit ..…. Or did I? Yep, I blended two colours together. Onto the now braided edge square I sponged on Daffodil Delight ink, followed by Highland Heather.  I will admit to doing a bit of research and testing first to be sure that the ink would produce the colour I needed.  My thoughts are that if I had planned ahead, Stampin’ Up’s Soft Suede cardstock or ink would have been a good match for this. As my collection is still very limited, being a new demonstrator, I don’t yet own every colour ink or cardstock as yet!  The yacht in the centre is on the rear of the knotted rope design DSP, so I cut this out first using the largest square from the Stitched Shape Dies.  Then flipping over the remainder of the DSP, cut the knotted rope background measuring 53/8” square for the card.  The card base measures 5½”square and was cut and scored from a piece of A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Peaceful Poppies and the Elements

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

My project today is made from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and the Co-ordinating Peaceful Poppies Elements. The overall effect is lovely and even better, this was a quick card to assemble with minimal effort.  We all need to produce the occasional quick card sometimes, don’t we?  The top and bottom borders are from the Elements pack, as is the circle covering the centre of the doily along with the poppy image.  Using my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad I gently sponged directly onto the rear of the doily twice for the solid black effect.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink again.

If your order is over £150 you get to choose your own rewards.

Floral Silhouette on Woven Threads Designer Series Paper

Hi and thank you for visiting my blog.

Today I have a similar project to yesterday.  It is quicker and easier than blending an inky background and the Woven Threads DSP used sets off the Shimmer Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper beautifully.  The image I used for this card was cut from a full 12×12 floral sheet supplied in the pack.

I used the same method as yesterday’s card on the Shimmer Paper where I gently sponged my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad directly onto the image, letting the ink dry each time until I had the desired coverage – three coats in this case.  The top right and bottom left corners are from the Mini Coloured Doilies.  I sponged the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad directly onto the rear side twice – I did originally sponge the ink onto the coloured side, Grapefruit Grove in this instance, but found it turned into a dark brown colour (a nice shade but not what I wanted for this card).  I cut the doily into 4 equal pieces and used two on the card.  I made a larger card base for this image, an A4 piece of Whisper White was cut to 10” x 7” and scored on the long side a 5”, whilst each layer was cut 1/8” less each time.
